Our policy
Rosette McCartin publishes original editorial work and uses images licensed or generated for the site. If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, send a written notice to [email protected] with the subject line "Copyright notice".
What a valid notice must include
- Your name, address, telephone number and email address.
- A description of the copyrighted work you say is infringed.
- The exact URL or location of the material on this site.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
What happens next
We review valid notices promptly. If the claim is substantiated, we remove or disable access to the material and notify the contributor. We may ask for clarification if the notice is incomplete. Knowingly filing a false notice can expose you to liability.
Counter-notice
If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice to the same address. Include your contact details, the removed material and its previous location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court. We may restore the material if the original complainant does not pursue legal action.
Repeat infringement
We will terminate access for contributors or users who repeatedly infringe copyright, where the site has the ability to do so.
Images and credits
Article images on this site are generated for Rosette McCartin or used with permission. If you believe an image is credited incorrectly, tell us and we will correct the credit or remove the image.
